How the BDE Course Works

Classroom Theory (20 Hours)

This part builds your foundation. Before you even touch the steering wheel, you’ll know what’s expected on the road.

Topics Covered:

  • Ontario traffic laws and penalties
  • Road signs and traffic signals
  • How to share the road with cyclists, pedestrians, and streetcars
  • Defensive driving: spotting and avoiding hazards

Personal Feedback: After every lesson, your instructor tells you what you did well and what to improve.
